| For the fifth year in a row, mother
nature rained down upon Maytown, PA the weekend of our contest.
Fortunately, she doesn't have email and wasn't aware that we had moved
the contest to Farmville, VA. Although she tried, she couldn't make it
far enough south to ruin the weekend and we enjoyed favorable
conditions where everyone flew three flights for a complete contest! Changing the venue for a long standing contest venue is not an easy task. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Kim and Tom at Heart of Virginia Aviation for their hospitality and generosity, Craig Wisman and Larry Bashore for coordinating with the airport and with the FSDO to get the waivers approved, Priss Bashore and Debby Wisman for an excellent job running Registration and Scoring, Chief Judge Greg Dungan for running a safe contest, Keith Doyne for Tech'ing the aircraft and acting as Starter, Ray Harris for rounding up the volunteers, and all the pilots for just plain showing up!
